UD- Naked Skin Color Correcting Fluid

Just like the Urban Decay Naked Concealers, these products were a hit for me. I bought the Pink (brightens dark areas) and Mint (reduces redness) colour for myself.

I apply the Green Mint product on all of the areas that tend to be red; this product tends to stay on my skin ALL DAY LONG – which is exactly what I need.  I also have pretty oily skin and this formula goes on great and then becomes a little drying which works out great for me. It basically sticks onto my stubborn oily skin, which is exactly what I need. As you apply, you can see that the green really lingers on the skin-again, a great thing for my skin because it is capable to last all day.

I apply the Pink product under my eyes and blend it in with my beauty blender. It brightens up the under eye instantly. It pairs perfectly with my new Naked Skin concealer (I then use the Laura Mercier secret brightening powder to set it).

No creasing, no patchiness, no cracking.

This formula is fantastic…its super lightweight but full coverage. It is overall very easy to blend.

Who doesn’t love the scent of chocolate

Who doesn’t love the scent of chocolate?

I absolutely love this palette. First off, the eye shadows inside are in the shape of hearts… super cute! The pigmentation, scent and colors in this palette are beyond beautiful! There are shimmers, mattes, satin finishes and every color family you could hope for. I have all 3 chocolate bars and it’s hard to tell which one is better. I am a neutral kind of girl when it comes to makeup and I love how this palette has a lot of browns to choose from. The formula is also amazing, the shadows are buttery, buildable and blend well.

Bobbi Brown Vitamin Enriched Face Base

image

This is the second time I purchased Bobbi Brown vitamin enriched face base. I have super oily skin so I wasn’t sure what to expect with this moisturizer. It does everything it says in the description. It is lightweight, absorbs quickly, and creates a smooth, beautiful finish. This face cream could act as a stand-alone moisturizer, or it can be used with another moisturizer. I use it both morning and night and it does not irritate my sensitive skin. Also another bonus, it does not make my oily face greasy at all. The product is thick, but it almost melts when you apply it on your face so don’t be put off by the thick initial texture.

This product is like having a daily facemask…. it just adds a layer of nutrients to the skin to make it glow and feel naturally flawless. It also smells nice; a soft citrus scent. It may be pricey, but will last a long time, as you only need to use a dab of cream for your entire face to attain a smooth finish.

Tarteist Contour Palette

image

I love Tarte cosmetics. I have several palettes from Tarte, but this contour palette is an extreme let down.  I have a lot of contour and highlighting powders and I didn’t mind having another one. I bought this one with the impression that it would be super silky and smooth. The pans are tiny and the highlight shades aren’t pigmented but are rather chalky. The contour colours are extremely warm and the darker colour is super (SUPER) dark.  If I were to combine both dark colours it would give me a muddy look. The texture of these powders are really weird too they’re not powdery(note for dry skins – I would definitely stay away from the palette). I loved the idea of including a blush but this one is not the same formula as the amazonian clay blushes and in addition are not pigmented. For the price, there’s not much product, it went on really chalky and was hard to blend and the colour pay off was not what I was expecting. If I had to rate this palette I would rate it out of 2/10. Why 2 points at least? Because of the cute packaging and a blush in the palette however other than that I’m not much of a fan of this palette.

Viseart Eyeshadow Palette in Neutral Matte

image

I bought this Viseart Eyeshadow Palette in Neutral Matte because So many people were raving about this “amazing” palette which to be honest was not worth all the hype. This palette was VERY expensive… I’m pretty disappointed because I’m paying $100CAD for a palette with eyeshadows that barely show up on my lid. I was hoping for a lot more pigmentation, and blend able colours but unfortunately that was not the case with this palette. I will be returning this to Sephora so I can spend my money on something amazing. Not worth the money.
