In the word of Fenty Beauty by Rihanna “Finally—the ultimate photo filter in foundation form. Born in 40 boundary-breaking shades, Pro Filt’r Soft Matte Longwear Foundation gives skin an instantly smooth, pore-diffused, shine-free finish that easily builds to medium to full coverage. The oil-free formula is made with climate-adaptive technology that’s resistant to sweat and humidity, and won’t clog pores so that wherever you are, it’s going to work on your skin. Best of all, this longwearing, light-as-air texture is undetectable on skin—so you always look like you.”

This foundation comes in a 1.08 oz/ 32 mL glass bottle (making it look every chic).

FENTY BEAUTY is finally here! To be honest I wasn’t really going to try out the primer or foundation, until I walked into Sephora and saw one of the employees wearing both the primer and foundation together. Her face looked FLAWLESS.

I fell in love with this primer on the first use. Unlike most pore smoothing primers, this one is very lightweight and does not slide around over time. It’s the best product I’ve tried. My main concern is minimizing the appearance of pores and uneven tone. It did the job without making my skin greasier over time. It blurs pores and fine lines,
keeps skin hydrated, and keeps my makeup in tact. Def exceeded my

Like I said before, I was a little sceptical at first about this foundation only because it’s so hard for me to choose foundations especially due to my skin being so oily. I walked into Sephora and saw one of the staff wearing it and I fell in love with the way her face looked. I had her colour-match me and I loved the way it felt on my skin. I bought the foundation in the colour 250 (I do recommend going into a store to get colour matched because I bought one online and I bought it in the shade 340. That was way too dark for me). I went home tried it on, took a nap, woke up and let me tell you – my face still looked flawless. I’ve been wearing my foundation all weekend I’m seriously obsessed with the colour, the way it feels on my skin & the fact that it looks so natural and it covers all my horrible acne scars. The pigmentation is outrageously well done and the finish is matte, but natural. I am crazy for this foundation; I did NOT think that Rihanna (the amazing music artist that she is) would come out with one of the best foundations I have ever purchased in my life! It is a serious game changer!

Rihanna really knows what she’s doing so cheers to her and her new brand!

Available in 40 shades, Pro Filt’r Soft Matte Longwear Foundation retails at $42.00 CAD

Anastasia Beverly Hills Matte Lipsticks

Anastasia Beverly Hills recently launched one of the biggest and massive lipstick collections ever. I must say, they truly have outdone themselves with this collection.

These lipsticks are perfection. The colours are not only beyond beautiful, but there are is a wide range of selection. They don’t feel dry or look cracked on your lips. All the lipsticks are very pigmented and last on your lips for a very long time. They are very matte, but also are so comfortable to wear for how matte they are. They are not as creamy as other lipsticks, and I think it was definitely noticeable while swatching that they do have a pull. I lovee these & I think these lipsticks might just be my go to everyday!

Diorskin Forever Perfect Foundation Broad SPF 35

I can’t lie, I have a pretty large selection of foundations and there are many favorites amongst them, but my never-ending curiosity to find the next “must have” product search never really ends.

So when I saw this new foundation on pretty much every social media accounts, I had to try it out. I’ve had this for almost 4-5 weeks and I must say I’m very impressed.

In words of Dior Get perfect, 16-hour foundation coverage and broad spectrum SPF 35 protection from day to evening. This foundation leaves a luminous matte finish, flawless correction, and exceptional comfort. It’s enriched with Poreless Effect skin care essence, leaving the skin’s texture looking more refined with each wear. Designed with an egg-shaped container with a beveled side, the high-density, soft-touch material deposits just the right amount of product, allowing for precise application and perfectly even coverage.”

This foundation comes in a 30ml/1fl/oz glass bottle (making it look every chic). The bottle has a pump, which always makes it easier. The foundation itself contains SPF35, which is a big plus. The texture is quite creamy but doesn’t feel heavy in anyway. I bought the shade #031 Sand, which has a yellow undertone.

The coverage is great and it really does brighten the skin and provides a smooth finish. I don’t notice any oxidisation, if anything it adjusts to my skin tone once it settles.  The only warning I have is: it does take a bit more time and effort to apply this foundation. It needs to be blended and worked into the skin really well to get the full effect.

The very first time I used Diorskin Forever Perfect Foundation, I applied it with a beauty blender. Unfortunately the tapping/dabbing motion of the sponge didn’t do much justice to the finish. I found the best way this foundation applies is by using a dense and flat-headed foundation brush. In my case the Sigma F-80 Flat Kabuki Brush was perfect. It really helped distribute and blend the product onto my skin. That’s when I really achieved the coverage and the finish I was expecting.

I have an oily T-zone and I would recommend setting this foundation with a light dusting of translucent powder if you have oily skin. Other than that, Diorskin Forever Perfect Foundation really is a very impressive foundation which lives up to all its claims and I highly recommend it if you’re after a new foundation.

Available in 25 shades, Diorskin Forever Perfect Foundation Broad SPF 35 retails at $64.00 CAD

HUDA BEAUTY- Liquid Matte Lipstick

I love the longwearing aspect of liquid lipsticks where I don’t have to worry about reapplying the product.

Huda Beauty’s liquid lipsticks come in a 5ml/ 0.17 oz tube with a traditional sponge tip applicator. Along with these nude/pinkish ranges of colour, there are so many other shades including red, deep wines, purples & metallic finishes.

What I personally look for in a liquid lipstick alone with the longevity of course, is the consistently. With regular lipsticks, I tend to use lip liner (Huda has lip liners but they don’t sell them on Sephora.com anymore), so I can have a better barrier around my lips. With liquid lipsticks, I can forget the lip liners because the long wear formula sets and creates a natural barrier. In order to have such an effect (were you don’t need a lip liner), I prefer the formula to be creamy but not too thick; light but not too liquid-y; either.

The Huda Beauty formula is very creamy and one swipe is enough to get an even coat – which makes the lipsticks, feel really light and comfortable on the lips. They set pretty quickly without leaving any sticky residue behind. They also don’t budge.

I’m so impressed with the colours, finish and consistency of the Huda Beauty lipsticks. Along with these babies, Huda has an amazing range of products from lip liner, eye shadow palettes to lashes and their brand new highlighter palettes.

Check out Huda Beautys Lipsticks which retail at $20 USD each, on Hudabeauty.com or Sephora.com

Rose Gold Elixir by Farsali

Omg. I don’t think you all understand how excited I am that they finally sell the Rose Gold Elixir by Farsali at SEPHORA. I get super excited when brands start selling products at Sephora, I think it’s just easier and if you’re a VIB rouge you get free shipping heheh.

As you may already know from my previous post, I have extremely oily skin. I was very skeptical using an oil on my face because I’m already so oily. Nevertheless, it helped heal my deep acne scarring which I didn’t know it would actually help with (I was happy because this oil can do so much for your skin). Just remember to use 2-3 drops for your face and neck so you don’t end up looking too oily. Also, really pat it into your skin especially if there are areas that you really want to see improvements on. Not only is it great for your skin, but also it makes your makeup application seamless, last longer, and makes you look flawless. I usually add about 1-2 drops onto my beauty blender or brush and blend out my foundation. Let me tell you – it looks flawless and glowy (more like a natural glow, not like omg your face is so oily glow)! I was actually scared to use an oil before my foundation because I’m already so oily, but this oil doesn’t make you look oily, it actually moisturizer your skin, and makes you look 100. I also sometimes use this before I put on any matte liquid lipstick for extra moisture so the lip looks just as flawless as my skin! The price is worth it honestly a little goes A LONG LONG way, you don’t need to put 3-6 drops just 1-2 drops is enough.

Absolute must have!
