Marc Jacobs Lovin’

As most people already know, I’m a huge fan of Marc Jacobs Beauty products. I’m so glad I bought these InstaMarc Light Filtering Contour Powders. I ordered 2 of the 3 combos; Dream Filter 20- soft pink/ medium bronze and Hi Fi Filter 60- warm peach/ deep bronze. These colors are easy to blend and set your concealer like a dream. Both of these palettes are extremely pigmented. I’m a brush freak so of course I got The Shape Contour and Blush Brush. This brush is truly amazing, so soft and dense. It picks up the contour easily and it just blends everything perfectly. Next, on to the Marc Jacobs Beauty New Nudes Sheer Lip Gel, I got mine in the color dusty rose. Its legit the perfect nude for my light to medium skin tone color. My fave looking lipstick… these Kiss Pop Lip color Sticks that look like a crayon are just too cute. I have them in the color Pink Coral and Peony Pink. The formula is heavenly. It applies almost matte and dries down to a matte like finish. I do get dry lips and I did find that this lipstick still has some moisture in it. It lasts a very long time and doesn’t fade. Marc Jacobs did an amazing job with these new products!

The Hearts of Too Faced

Too Faced packaging strikes again… I can never get over how cute the packaging is for their products. The hearts make everything look so much cuter. You’ve probably noticed by now that I am a sucker for cheek products. I adore this bronzer/blush because it is very pigmented. One thing I must add about their products is that you will never have to dab your brush into it 50 times to get the color on your face. Another thing I love is that they literally look like plastic – I barely ever want to use it because I love how they designed the hearts into it (lol). I love both of the compacts equally and their names are super cute – “Ross & Rachel and Carrie & Big”. The bronzer gives such a natural glow to your skin and the blush is a perfect shade of pink, together it’s a match made in heaven.

Bobbi Brown Face Haul

I had such high hopes for this Bobbi Brown Skin Foundation Stick since everyone was talking about. But nope it just made my face super oily  (like always). I really wanted to love this foundation stick, but unfortunately this foundation just didn’t settle on my face. I even set it with the Bobbi Brown Skin Weightless Powder Foundation but my face just didn’t like it. The two best things that I liked out of this haul was the Bobbi Brown Bronzing Powder and the Powder Brush. This brush is great, the bristles are soft, and the brush picks up the perfect amount of product. I use this Brush with the Bobbi Brown Bronzing Powder and it works like a charm. I love this bronzer; it looks so amazing once it’s on. So soft and natural looking. I bought it in the Medium Brown, its lightweight, easy to blend, and doesn’t look too sparkly or shimmery… its just perfect!

Magical Soap Bar

Wow! I L O V E  this Blender Cleanser Solid by Beauty Blender! I’m so glad I purchased this “magical “solid cleanser. It cleans so thoroughly and deeply it works immediately. This soap keeps my pink beauty blender looking almost the same as the day I bought it. I really like this solid cleanser because of its convenience, all I have to do is wet my beauty blender, squeeze out the excess water and rub it against the solid and bam its all nice and clean. I also love the fresh scent and it leaves my sponge feeling clean and very lightly scented.  Everyone that owns a beauty blender NEEDS this!!

Chocolates vs. Naked

Hello! So today I am going to be talking about two well-known make up brands, Too Faced and Urban Decay. I purchased both palettes most recently and have finally decided that if it ever came down to only having any palette it would be the two Too Faced Chocolate & Semi-Sweet Chocolate Palettes. Urban Decay is a great company and is well known for its naked palettes.

I do think they are awesome but let me tell you all a little smoky-eye story. I was doing my make up to go out one night and started off with the naked two palette. It was going a long well as I used much of the lighter shades to the left of the palette. I then opened my Naked 1 palette and also added more pigment to the eye shadow I already had on from the 2. I opened my Semi-Sweet Chocolate palette and literally LIGHTLY dabbed my brush into the black eyeshadow (this was the first time I used that palette that day) and applied it on the ends of my eyelid for that smoky look. My jaw literally DROPPED because holy sh*t I had dabbed WAY too much black onto my eyes. Even though it sounds like a bad thing, ITS AN EXCELLENT THING – that meant I didn’t have to work as hard as I did with the naked palette for more pigment. The too faced palette was so pigmented compared to the naked palette that I got super excited to announce I finally had a favorite palette (or two faves)!

I have mentioned before how much I love Too Faced’s products and I reveal that this is another FAVORITE!

The chocolate palette has pigmented colors with 16 matte and shimmer shades of natural browns, pinks and plums. In addition the semi-sweet palette has matte and shimmer shades of warm caramels. Deep mochas, bronzy chocolate hues and pop of sugared blueberry. Even though all the palettes are amazing, if it came down to me inside Sephora having the choice of only one palette I would probably forget about the naked palettes and debate between the semi-sweet and chocolate palette. Oh and I must also add IT SMELLS DELICIOUS! IF YOU’RE A CHOCOLATE LOVER AND SMELL THE PALETTES… YOU WILL FALL IN LOVE!

Naked 1: 4/5

Naked 2: 4/5

Naked 3: 4/5

Chocolate: 5/5

Semi-Sweet Chocolate Bar: 5/5
